The Best of Television 2014

So something I am loving recently is the great shows that are on television ( my show over laps all of them, God bless the internet and the PVR ). A lot of people that I know like to play video games to unwind or read, but I enjoy a few different T.V shows. The favourites, Arrow, The Flash, The 100 and a little bit of Marvel’s Agents of Shield, to offset the awesome. It is funny though I’m usually so busy throughout the week that I usually have a marathon over the weekends, but now my weekends are getting so busy that my T.V night is usually Friday. I look forward to that time, I get to hang out with my brother or some friends and just relax!

Although now with the new year approaching the majority of shows are taking a break, it kills me but I guess now I can catch up on some much needed sleep!

What shows are a “Must Watch” for you?

Slam Devotional 1 – Preemptive Prayer

What’s going on friends, so if you have listened to my show recently ( 7pm-11pm http://lifeonline.fm/listenlive.html ) you have heard me talk about something that has been on my mind for quite some time, and that is something that I like to call preemptive prayer.

I remember being in a youth group when I was younger and the youth leader would always without fail every time we got back from a youth retreat say to us, “it is one thing to be on the mountain top and love and serve and trust God at a conference while surrounded by thousands of christians who are all pumped up, but can you do it when you are not at a retreat, can you honour and trust and fully rely on God when you are doing all the day to day stuff?” Well this got me thinking, preemptive prayer is the same concept but in reverse. You see when all hell is breaking loose around us we have been trained to rely on God and go to Him, when nothing seems to be going right it is almost an instinct to go into prayer and “defence ” mode. But do you think the enemy stops for one second? Absolutely not, he is always looking to ruin us or take us out of the will of God.

What am I getting at? As I said it is easy to remember to rely and pray and get into the Word when times are tough, but the whole concept of preemptive prayer is staying vigilant. Even when everything is going great, pray against the enemy, when it seems like he isn’t coming against you, pray against the enemy and his kingdom. Speak the truth over your circumstances!
